Lotte and Varley at WUK

English versionEndlich war es soweit - das erste Konzert 2020 im WUK für mich.Den Anfang machte Varley. Das Pop-Trio aus Berlin rund um Frontfrau Claire hüllten ihre fast schon zerbrechlich anmutende Stimme in eine Klangwelt aus warmen Akustik-Gitarren-Sounds, Synths, schwebenden Pedal-Steel-Guitar-Flächen und elektronischen Drums.
Als Hauptact lud Lotte mit ihren dynamischen Pop Songs richtig zum Tanzen ein. Das Konzerte fühlte sich an wie ein gesungenes Tagebuch rund um Höhen, Tiefen, Liebe und dem Streben nach Glück. Mit poppigen Synthsound, geprägt von fetten Gitarrenriffs und knackigem Schlagzeug ging der Abend dann mit vielen Emotionen zu Ende.
Finally it was time again - the first concert in 2020 at WUK for me.
The start was made by Varley. The pop trio from Berlin around front woman Claire wrapped her almost fragile seeming voice, into a soundscape of warm acoustic guitar sounds, synths, ethereal pedal steel guitar sounds layers and electronic drums.
As the main act Lotte, with her dynamic pop songs, invited the crowd to dance. The whole concert felt like a sung diary about ups and downs, love and the striving for happiness. WIth poppy synth sounds, reminding of the 80's, characterized by fat guitar riffs and punchy drums, an evening full of emotions came to an end.
