Soulfly, Epsilon at ((szene)) Wien

Einmal jährlich gehört Soulfly in der ((szene)) Wien schon fix in meinen Eventkalender. Mit Max Cavalera steht einer, der für mich beeindruckendsten Musiker der Metalszene, in Front einer Band, die sich nicht nur in ihrer Besetzung, sondern auch in ihrer Musik über die Jahre verändert hat. Max fasziniert mit seinem markanten Gesang und Outfits, aber auch mit seiner unerschöpflichen Energie als Songwriter, Ehemann und Vater. Zudem begleitet ihn, jetzt schon für sehr lange Zeit, einer meiner absoluten Lieblingsgitarristen Marc Rizzo. Die Setlist war breit gefächert und bot einige Schmankerl, sowohl für die alt eingesessenen Fans, als auch für jüngere Generationen. Supportet wurden sie von der St. Pöltner Death Metal Band Epsilon, die mit neuem Sänger auf ganzer Linie überzeugten und ein perfekter Einstieg in einen lauten, harten Dienstagabend waren.

Soulfly at ((szene)) Wien is an once-a-year must to me. With Max Cavalera one of the most fascinating musicians of the metal scene is standing in front of a band, which not only changed their lineup, but also varied their music over the years. Max Impresses with his striking voice and outfits, but also with his inexhaustible energy as a songwriter, husband and father. Moreover, one of my favourite guitar players, Marc Rizzo, has been supporting him for a couple of years now. The Setlist was diversified and offered songs for the older fans, as well as for the fans of the newer generations. As support, the death metal band Epsilon from Sankt Pölten entered the stage, and even with a new frontman they completely convinced the attendants and opened a loud and hard Tuesday evening.
