FirleTanz #18, Roy de Roy, Tombadour, Rambo, Walter

English version

Tombadour

Walter

"Walter ist gut! Walter liebt Dich! Walter wird für Dich singen!"
- Walter -

Was soll man zu Walter sagen?

Tombadour performed back to back, which wasn't the only unusual part of the act. A drummer who is the singer of the band at the same time is something you don't see every day. With poetic texts, genius rhythms and accompanied by piano it was a perfect opening for a varied musical evening.

In the same style the evening went on, but the piano was swapped by the Raggamuffin Brass Orchestra. With very present percussions and a well arranged brass lineup the music invites to nodding your head and is fun overall.

What can be said about Walter? Surely he is an artist you must have seen. Extraordinary in the way he looks and all he does he certainly got the potential to become a real Austrian style icon.

Roy de Roy

"Roy de Roy is the microcosm of Vienna: different, multicultural and loud!"

When Roy de Roy stepped on the stage and rockt the bar, the evening changed to a harder atmosphere. Everyone who has seen this band perform live knows very well what is meant with "different, multi-cultural and loud!". With an eastern influence like the use of the accordion and their rhythms that are similar to polka, they "recycled", to say it the way they put, polka and punk and add a healthy portion of Balkan style and rock music. As if that were not enough, they performed in Slovenian. All in all a powerful mixture and a worthy headliner for a successful FirleTanz.
